You can avoid short appraisals by doing the following:
•Prior to listing your home, get it appraised to help you avoid overpricing and set a realistic listing price.
•Give a copy of your prelisting appraisal to the buyer's appraiser.
•Question a low appraisal and there is always a chance the appraiser or a supervisor will take into account new or overlooked information.
