What is an acquisition cost?
Acquisition cost is the total cost that it takes to purchase a property. The acquisition cost can include, but is not limited to the following:
✅ the purchase price
✅ cost of appraisal fees
✅ home inspection
✅ attorney's fee
✅ commission (if applicable)
✅ credit report
✅ insurance (homeowners, title- if applicable)
✅ mortgage application-related fees
✅ property survey
There are strategies (such as seller credits, down-payment assistance, grants, etc.) available to help offset some of these acquisition costs. However, many of the costs must be paid out-of-pocket directly from the buyer. Contact me for more information on purchasing a home and I’ll guide you along the way!
