(Seller Question) What can I do to protect my property from this frigid New England weather?
TAWANA'S ANSWER:
I would suggest protecting your property’s most important infrastructure such as its water supply and the roof. Insulate both your hot and cold water pipes, close the inside valves that supply water to exterior hookup and if you are going to be away from the property for an extended period of time, let water drip from the faucets to prevent freezing… and keep the heat on at a minimum of 55° F. Make sure that your gutters are clean so when ice melts and refreezes, it will not get clogged and cause an ice dam… and make sure there are no loose roof tiles.
