Volunteer & Donation Opportunities: For a list of volunteer and donation needs, visit the Volunteer & Donation topic page.
Donations of Personal Protective Equipment: The State of Connecticut has activated a framework for donations of PPEs. Members of the public, businesses, and philanthropic organizations that wish to donate these vital materials can fill out the online form at 211ct.org/DonationsCOVID19.
Medical Volunteers: Connecticut’s hospitals, nursing home and medical facilities are in desperate need of medical volunteers. Governor Lamont is urging anyone with experience in healthcare to register on the healthcare volunteer registry at https://ctresponds.ct.gov.
Community Emergency Response Team Volunteers:: If residents are interested in joining a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) to volunteer during the COVID response, your local Emergency Management Director can swear in new members after they complete the following on-line course: IS-317: Introduction to Community Emergency Response Team. To register, visit https://training.fema.gov/is/courseoverview.aspx?code=IS-317.
In addition to the above, I have made it a priority to support local organizations helping those in need during this time. I will be supporting the Middlesex United Way to help provide much needed support to those in our community. Click HERE to contribute to the Middlesex United Way.
